Sit Back is a dance theatre piece for 4 women and a bench, bringing you a spoonful of nostalgia, a shot of good fun and a measure of emotion. Based in 1942, London Transport Clippies from the 601 Trolleybus service are having lunch between shifts. The piece brings to light the role of the female work force during World War2, bringing a sense of comradery. Join them as their imaginations go on a physical journey exploring and transforming the space around them.
Total Theatre Review by Rebecca JS NIce: ‘Moxie Brawl successfully spun an evocative journey through the War using speech, object play and voice over well integrated into a contemporary dance vocabulary that was a pleasure to watch.’
Supported by Candoco Dance Company, Watermans, British Trolleybus Society and Arts Council England.
In 2014 we performed the piece 38 times in 13 festivals to nearly 10,000 people. We are now taking bookings for summer 2018 and beyond.Book Me →
