AUDITION – FEMALE DANCE ARTISTS

Moxie Brawl, a fresh all-female, inclusive, award winning dance theatre company that creates work for outdoors, indoors and places wheres dance just shouldn’t be, is searching for dance artists to join the research stage of a new work in Autumn 2016.

Artistic Director Sarah Blanc is developing a new work, ‘History Of Ireland’; a fun and engaging dance theatre piece, which explores the stereotypical view of Ireland whilst bringing to light Irish women who have been forgotten in the history books.

Moxie Brawl is looking to recruit 1 female dance artists to join the team for this research stage. The successful candidate will have excellent performance skills, a collaborative approach to working, be comfortable learning large pieces of text and have strong dance technique. Ability to play an Irish traditional instrument would be a bonus.

This audition is particularly targeted at female disabled artists however, applications from all female dance artists are welcome.

In addition, Moxie Brawl is also looking to recruit cover for the Autumn leg of the Windibops tour 19th-27th October.

Ideally these two roles would be the same person but not essential.

Dates
Irish research- First two weeks in September 2016 at The Place in London. Exact dates to be confirmed.

Windibops tour- 20th-27th October

Fee:
£450 per week

Audition Date
The audition will take place at Trinity Laban, Sunday June 12th, 10am – 2pm.

Unfortunately, alternative dates are not available, applicants must be available to attend this date to be considered.
