Candoco Dance Company and The Place are supporting Candoco Associate Artist Sarah Blanc to bring together a company of emerging dance artists who wish to work within an inclusive setting. Company memberswill work together to research and perform a new work in Spring 2017 called ‘Briefer Encounters’.
We are looking for 4 dance artists who have extraordinary natural performance style and/or at least 2 years of professional dance training. Applicants must be comfortable improvising. Experience of working with character, text and humour would be desirable but not essential. Dancers must aspire to work at a professional level and push the boundaries of their own abilities.
Sarah Blanc is an award winning choreographer and Artistic Director of Moxie Brawl- a fresh, all-female, inclusive dance theatre company that creates work for outdoors, indoors and places where dance just shouldn’t be.
Project Dates
Rehearsals: Week commencing 3rd April, 10th April, 1st May
Final Rehearsals,Tech and Performance: w/c 8thMay with performances on Saturday 13 May 2017 (exact dates tbc)
Fee:
£1350 (funding dependant)
Audition Date
The audition will take place at The Place, Sunday Sept 4th 5pm- 8pm in Studio 1 at The Place, 16 Flaxman Terrace, London.
Unfortunately, alternative audition dates are not available. However, if you are interested but cannot attend this date please let us know and where possible we will try and see you at another time.

hi I like to join I have been dance for a while now I got dance videos of U tube and I am northern ballet and yorkshire dance I have been to blackpool for dance weekend I have done splash mob in leeds and flash mobs I do have a dance profile from yorkshire dance I am very good and partner work and can work on my own. my mobile is 07985798293 I am age 47 and still fit.
